Not to worry :) How do I feel about CI, it doesn't bother me
as long they are happy about it. Again, welcome!

I got a CI myself but I don't use it anymore. I got it
inserted in late age and it kinda of really hard to develop
my hearing ability afterward. But it works actually, but i
will never understood anything I hear except for my name
calling, phone ringing which is so obviously, and other few
things I may be able to identify.

You still using
CI and that's great. It's entirely up to you and glad to
know that you are still have deafness in your heart. />
It's so important for babies using sign language too
as well as spoken language if they are being implanted.
Babies develop faster and process very well if they learn
gestures/sign languages than those who don't.

But one more thing, you said
Doctor suggested your parents to have you implanted. But
what if he/she offered your parents options such as deaf
institution, communicate through sign language as there's
sign language course available locally, etc. It might be
different... just a thought. :)

lol we dont judge each other *peace* i think CI is not good
from my view. it costs money, time and enegry and possibly
life too. im glad u are fine with CI. i dont mind it if they
use it :) human being is good

Hi...welcome here Deaf-Tube ;-) Am not against you as long
as you are happy. That all matters and wish parents would
allow deaf kids with coclear implants to know ASL, deaf
schools, deaf camps and deaf world.

What many
deaf people dislikes with Doctors for putting CI on small
children...that really annoys us and for their experiments
also so better only if they are deaf adults and they could
decide for themselves.

Hi..Nice to meet you. I have nothing against CI as long as
you are happy with it.. Also you are interesting involve
with deafs and sign language. It is great. Myself I have
whole deaf family and relatives. We all do not want to have
CI at all. We do respect for others. No problem.. Be happy
yourself as it works well for you. Great!

It happens to some parents who weren't fimilair with that,
too. I have nothing against with cochlear implant. If you
have one, that's cool. Just be yourself and we'll get along
just fine! BTW: WELCOME! :)

Hello, CutiePixieDoll, I am not against CI, oralism, Cued
speech, See, ASL because they are deaf no matter what. I
grew up in oral school and then I learned ASL in late age.
Some of deaf people rejected me because I am oralism but I
won't let anyone to judge me. I am fluenced ASL very well. I
have deaf daughter who using ASL in mainstream school.

it doesnt bother me who have CI. I have a friend who have
CI..she tell me everything..I am no cross her at all b/c
shes happy! thats count!
